Rancho Del Rey boys attend public schools and receive support from our on campus learning specialist. Even at the age of 11 or 12, a new boy may never have attended school regularly, and is pretty much starting from the beginning. We are committed to providing the best education possible, part our five-fold program to help free boys from the cycles of poverty, crime and lack of opportunity into which they were born.
Note the cost of school attendance as described below:
AN INVESTMENT OF $500 USD PER BOY PAYS FOR
- School registration fee
- School monthly fees
- Exam, assembly and graduation fees
- Black school shoes and white gym shoes
- Three different uniforms, tie and belt
- School supplies and textbooks
- A share of school office and cleaning supplies
- Transportation to and from school
THE DIVIDENDS ARE HUGE
Since 2013, 100% of Rancho Del Rey ninth grade graduates have entered high school. The national average is only 45%.
Our house parents and learning specialist provide support, do government-required evaluations, and develop individualized learning plans. Most of our boys need intensive academic support because of previous lack of opportunity and trauma in their lives.
We also support former Rancho young men who are pursuing higher education with financial aid and other practical assistance. Rancho Del Rey will always be HOME.
